Accessing Vendor Ratings
Overview of Ratings
The Ratings tab located on the Vendor Details screen, provides users with an overview of a vendor’s existing rating score. This feature allows administrators and managers to assess vendor performance based on user-submitted reviews.
Important Note:
- The Overall Vendor Rating is the average of all submitted reviews.
- Vendors cannot see their own ratings—this ensures users can leave honest and unbiased feedback.
- Users only see ratings submitted by employees within their own company. Ratings provided by other VIVE clients are not visible.
Viewing a Vendor’s Rating
To view a vendor's rating:
1. Log into VIVE and click the My Vendors tab on the left menu panel.
2. Users should search for a specific vendor and click on that vendor.
3. Click on the tab labeled "Ratings" on the left panel menu.
The Overall Vendor Rating (average score) will be displayed.
The rating score is calculated as the average of all submitted reviews.
Adding a Vendor Rating
To submit a new review for a vendor:
- Click the “Add a Review” button on the Ratings tab.
- Statements can be reviewed about the vendor.
- Each is rated on a 5-star scale:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 stars = highest rating)
⭐ (1 star = lowest rating) - If a question does not apply, you may select “N/A”.

- Submit the review.
How the Total Vendor Review Score is Calculated:
- The vendor's rating is determined by averaging the star ratings provided across the 10 review questions.
- Example: If a vendor receives ratings of 4, 5, 3, 5, and 4 stars for the first five questions, and the remaining five questions are marked as N/A, the average is calculated based on the five answered questions only.

1. Can I edit a submitted review?
Yes, you may edit a submitted review at any time.
2. How is the overall vendor rating calculated?
The Overall Vendor Rating is calculated as the average of all user-submitted reviews for that vendor.
3. What happens if I select "N/A" for a review question?
If a question is marked as "N/A," it is excluded from the overall rating calculation.
4. Can vendors view their rating and know it is from me?
No, vendors cannot view their ratings or identify who submitted them. This ensures that feedback remains honest and unbiased.
5. Can I view other ratings?
Users can only see ratings submitted by employees within their own company. Ratings submitted by other VIVE clients are not visible.
