Managing vendor information efficiently is crucial for maintaining an organized workflow. VIVE's Vendors Table allows you to sort, filter, and customize data, making it easier to locate specific vendors based on trade, approval status, location, and other key details.
This article will help you understand how to:
- Sort vendor data in ascending or descending order
- Apply filters to refine search results
- Customize your table by adding or removing columns
- Save, load, and reset your preferred layout
Let's explore these features in detail to maximize your use of the VIVE Vendors Table.
Sorting by Column
Columns in the Vendors Table can be sorted ascending or descending:
- Locate the column you want to sort.
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the column header.
- Select one of the following sorting options:
- Sort Ascending (A → Z or 1 → 9) — arranges data in alphabetical or numerical order.
- Sort Descending (Z → A or 9 → 1) — reverses the order.
- Clear Sort — resets the column to its default order.
- Additional Options: You can also Autosize This Column, Autosize All Columns, or Reset Columns from the same menu.
Filtering by Column
Click the filter icon next to a column header to refine your search results. This lets you apply specific criteria and narrow down vendor listings to best meet your needs.
Examples of Useful Filters:
- Trades — find vendors offering a specific service (e.g., "Plumbing" or "Electrical Work").
- VIVE Status — filter by "Approved" vendors to ensure compliance.
- City — narrow results to vendors within a specific area.
Tip: Filters can be combined across multiple columns for more precise search results!
Adding & Removing Columns
Users can add or remove columns to customize their Vendors Table:
- Click Columns on the right-hand side of the grid.
- A list of available columns appears.
- Check a column to add it to the table.
- Uncheck a column to remove it from the table.
Indicator Symbols:
- Checked (✔) → Column is visible.
- Unchecked (☐) → Column is hidden.

Troubleshooting & FAQs
Issue: Unable to Sort by Multiple Columns Solution: Ensure no active filters conflict with sorting. Remove all sorts and try again.
Issue: Missing Columns in the Vendors Table Solution: Click Columns on the right-hand side of the grid and check if the column is hidden. Re-enable it if necessary.
Issue: Changes to Table Are Not Saving Solution: Refresh the page and retry. If the issue persists, clear cache/cookies or try a different browser.
Best Practices
- Sorting and filtering can be used together to find the most relevant vendors quickly.
- Filtered views can be exported if you need to save or share refined vendor lists.
- Restoring default settings is possible by clearing filters and removing sort orders.
Exporting Data
Click Export on the right-hand side of the grid to open the export panel. You have two options:
- Export filtered data — exports only the rows currently shown based on your active filters.
- Export all data — exports every row in the grid, ignoring any filters you've applied.
