The Sync Now button enables you to manually trigger an immediate synchronization of vendor data from VIVE to your accounting system.
How It Works
- Instant synchronization – Immediately pushes current VIVE data to the linked accounting record
- On-demand update – Use whenever you notice data doesn't match between systems
- Manual control – Gives you the ability to force a sync outside of automatic scheduled updates
When to Use Sync Now
Use this feature when:
- You spot a discrepancy – Data in your accounting system doesn't match what you see in VIVE
- After making updates – You've just updated vendor information in VIVE and need it reflected immediately in accounting
- Troubleshooting – You're investigating data sync issues and want to force a refresh
Example Scenario
VIVE just updated a vendor’s status an hour ago, but when you check the accounting system, the old status is still showing. Rather than waiting for the next scheduled sync, click Sync Now to push the updated information immediately.
Where to Find the Feature
- Navigate to the My Vendors tab.
- Locate the vendor you wish to manage and click on their name.
Under the Admin section of the vendor profile, in the Accounting Links section, you'll see a button labeled Sync Now.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I use Sync Now to pull data from accounting into VIVE?
A: No. Sync Now only pushes data from VIVE to your accounting system. It's a one-way sync.
Q: Who can access these features?
A: Sync Now is restricted to Admin users only. Sync Now availability depends on your user permissions. Check with your system administrator if you don't see this option.
